2013 – Present, Full time
At Songkick I have an active role within the product team, producing pixel perfect designs that reflect work done by the UX team before working with developers to ensure such designs are consistent across all mediums once implemented.
As the Songkick product grows, the design team needs to make sure that everything released is on brand. During my time here I've helped shape the Songkick Style Guide, which helps make the wider team aware of how elements should look and feel within the given viewport. Essential when shipping features and experiments continously.
I've also own the design and build of all Songkick emails that are sent from within the product.
2010 – 2013, Full time
Whilst at vzaar.com, I took care of the look at feel of the entire site. Responsible for designing the logged out marketing side of the application, as well as the logged in application; which needed a different UX all together.
Within a very small team, I would do both the UX and the UI design, coding up pages and elements using basic HTML and CSS that the development team to take turn into product features.
We'd also produce weekly videos for the blog where I put my high school Drama lessons to good use!
Past & ongoing projects
Capital Canaries – I've been an active committee member of the Capital Canaries for a number of years now getting involved with a number of roles. We're a London based Norwich City FC supporters group that organsise travel to and from every game throughout the season, we also organise social events for all our members throughout the year too. I recently re-designed the Capital Canaries website, which we use to advertise trips, social events and sell merchandise. View site ⧁
Cornershop & Ampleplay Records – A chance meeting in 2010 led to working with one of my favourite bands, Cornershop. I was working with the band on creating landing pages and email templates leading up to the release of their 2011 album "Cornershop and the Double 'O' Groove Of". During this time we also collaborated on improving the band website, tweaking the wordpress theme and setting up an eCommerce system allowing the band to sell and promote their music themselves.
I brought my first camera whilst at university - yes, I spent my loan on it - and have been a keen enthusiast ever since. It's a passion of mine that I would love to pursue more and turn into a career. I'm still learning more and more about this industry all the time as well as teaching myself new techniques. Travel and Landscape photography are 2 key areas that intereste me the most, I would also love the chance to shoot sport - football in particular.
My photography work can be found on a site I recently put together which showscaes collections of my favourite shots from the past few years.
