Hello, I'm Aaron! Throughout the past 10+ years, I have delivered high-quality UI design aligning with both business and customer needs. I have a good understanding of the product design process, from the initial research and discovery phase to implementing, testing and iterating my work.

Loudly
Senior UI/UX Designer
Turns out that animal healthcare wasn't for me, so I decided to move to Loudly and work on a number of intriguing music based applications. Projects vary from AI music generation, realtime music customisation and cataloging thousands of royalty free music that users have access to. At the moment, we're still in the pre-market fit stage of discovery, so product development is often prioritised over design.

Vetevo
Senior UI/UX Desinger
After a short break due to the pandemic, I began working for an animal healthcare startup — not exactly a preferred area of interest, but given the circumstances I didn't want to spend too long without a job. As a small product team of 4, we worked tirelessly in order to re-design the online shop and re-architect the cms.

Horizon Studios
Senior UI/UX Designer
One of those companies I was supporting whilst employed by Project A, was Horizn Studios. They offered me the chance to join their team on a permanent basis, and I jumped at the chance. Here I was the sole product designer, taking full responsibility for the UX whilst striving to improve KPIs. It was a fulfilling experience that was sadly cut short due to the global pandemic.

Project A
Senior UI/UX Designer
During my time at Project A, I was supporting multiple ventures with a wide variety of UI and UX-based tasks. A consultant if you wish. My role within the team was to support and advise those ventures with best practices and how to approach certain design challenges, given the size of their respective teams. As a senior member of the team, I was also responsible for mentoring the junior members and helping them progress. A very enjoyable company to work for.

DAYONE
Senior UI/UX Designer
I made the tough decision to leave Songkick and move to Berlin. I wanted to work for an agency, to see if I could adapt to a new way of working. Turns out it wasn't for me. Not only that, this particular role was solely in German and having not been in the country very long, it didn't work out. Bad hire for both parties.

Songkick
Lead UI Designer
I took a gamble on this role, and boy did it pay off. Initially, I joined as a freelancer on a 3-month contract, leaving behind the security of a full-time position. I wanted to work here, as I'd been using the product for quite some time. 3 months turned into almost 4 years. I met some great people working at Songkick, some of which attended my wedding.

Vzaar
UI Designer
After a short time living down in Wiltshire, I decided to move to London. It was at Vzaar that I learnt a lot about the product development process. As part of a small product team, I was responsible for creating an intuitive UX, weekly videos for the product newsletter and all print-based marketing assets. I also gave a talk on CSS in Krakow during my time here, too.

Velvet Design
Junior Designer
At the start of 2009, I relocated to Salisbury to take up the position of Junior Designer. This was my first full-time role as a designer. Prior to moving there, I had never been to this part of the UK before, it was a bold decision. I'll always be grateful for Roger & Andrew giving me this opportunity.
